Circus Vargas: A Week of Family Fun in Folsom

Now, you might know the excitement that hit our house when we first heard Circus Vargas was coming to Folsom. Let's just say, some screams of joy might have been involved. Unfortunately, my son Alex was off on his 5th-grade Sly Park trip, so we had a special guest joining the fun – Payton's best friend, Taylor.

The Big Top tent itself was an experience. Stepping inside felt like entering a whole new world, filled with anticipation since the kids had been watching it go up in the Lakeside Church parking lot all week. The air was a little thick with humidity at the start, but by the end, the kids were begging for blankets.

A Show for All Ages

Forget everything you think you know about circuses. This one is all about celebrating diversity, with talented performers from all corners of the globe coming together to create a spectacular night of entertainment. There were no clowns, and definitely no animals – Circus Vargas is proudly animal-free.

But what it lacked in traditional circus elements, it more than made up for in sheer artistry and awe-inspiring acts. The acrobats and aerialists were phenomenal, pushing the boundaries of human flexibility and strength. Both Payton and Taylor were mesmerized, their faces a priceless mix of wonder and pure joy.

Stevie Steals the Show (and Our Hearts!)

But the undisputed highlight for the girls (and maybe even secretly for this mama!) was Stevie. He was this fantastic character who brought laughter and audience interaction throughout the show. By the end, getting a picture with Stevie was the absolute pinnacle of their night.

The entire production was a two-hour whirlwind of excitement, laughter, and pure family fun. It truly lived up to its promise of being an "amazing adventure" filled with joy.
