Family-friendly whitewater rafting offers gentle adventure on American River

For families seeking outdoor adventure without the intensity of challenging rapids, the South Fork American River Discovery Run provides an ideal introduction to whitewater rafting.

As a parent who had never taken my family rafting before, I'll admit we were definitely nervous about the experience. But the specially designed morning excursion caters to families with children as young as 4 years old, offering a gentler alternative to more aggressive rafting experiences.
