Welcome! I'm a mom of four, navigating family life in beautiful Folsom, California, and sharing our favorite local spots, events, and family adventures to help other families discover the endless fun our community has to offer.

Do you ever find a food spot that just feels like home? That's how I feel about Konito's Cafe in Pacific Beach, San Diego. As a mom who used to live in PB right after high school with my best friend, I still love coming back to this area whenever I visit from Folsom.
First things first - Konito's is tucked away behind Vons grocery store, so it's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. But trust me, it's worth finding! It sits in a big parking lot, which means no fighting for street parking (a big win for this mom!).
What I love most about Konito's are their breakfast burritos. They're simple, filling, and won't empty your wallet. As a mom, I appreciate all three of those things!
Most breakfast spots in San Diego stuff their burritos with too many fancy things. But Konito's keeps it simple, just like I'd make at home. They don't try to be fancy - they just make good food.
The best part? They don't skimp on ingredients. Their burritos and breakfast sandwiches are LOADED with eggs. And I mean LOADED! Every bite has plenty of egg, which is how a breakfast burrito should be.
Even though it's small, Konito's feels cozy, not cramped. They have lots of outdoor tables and some indoor seating too. The whole place has a nice, friendly feeling that makes you want to stay and enjoy your food.
What makes Konito's special is that it feels like a real neighborhood spot. When I lived in PB, places like this were my go-to, not the busy tourist spots on the main strips.
The people who own it are super nice, and you can tell it's a true mom and pop shop. You'll see locals coming in and the staff knowing their orders before they even ask. That's the kind of place I love to support!
They also make great coffee that's just right - not too weak and not too strong.
Even though I now live hours away in Folsom with my family, I make a point to visit Konito's whenever we're in San Diego. It's these small, local places that make PB special to me, not the flashy tourist spots.
If you're in Pacific Beach and want a real, honest breakfast without the fuss, head to Konito's Cafe. It's where the locals eat, and now you know too!
