Promontory Park (2700 Alexandra Drive)

Perhaps the best and busiest splash pad around, Promonotory Park features many different forms of water fun including misting butterflies, a spray tunnel, dump buckets, and water geysers in the ground. A playground suitable for all ages is attached to the spray ground for when the kids need a break from the water. Picnic tables are available for lunching there and a steep, grassy hill entices kids to see how fast they can roll down it. Two bathrooms are available on site and a fresh-water shower washes the chlorine off after hours of play. The only drawback to the park is the lack of shade, so be sure to bring an umbrella or other shade feature to set up on the grass surrounding the park.

Peter Bertelsen Memorial Park (831 Redwood Lane)

One of the oldest parks in EDH, Peter Bertelson Memorial park was named in honor of a fallen El Dorado Hills firefighter who died in the line of duty in 1965. The splash pad consists of a tunnel spray feature for kids to run through (pictured above). A playground is adjacent to the spray ground and there is a large, grassy area for kids to run.
